I am a senior attorney in the top-tier IP team Zhonglun China, with 16 years of proven experience in IP protection and litigation. I am a frequent writer in both English and Chinese. Having worked with numerous international clients, I've observed that many possess either a limited or even a misinformed perspective on the development and trends of intellectual property in China. As a result, I've made the decision to share comprehensive articles on my own column and website to provide clearer insights.

I micromanaged trademark application and prosecution projects, and conducted counterfeiting plans, investigations and enforcements, both civil and criminal for Fortune 500 companies and China industry leading companies. 

I litigated and defended multi million trademark and trade dress disputes in local courts across China, and trademark retrial cases in High Court and Supreme Court. I managed the global IP porfolio for state owned companies, provided IP compliance, strategic planning, risk mitigation for China domestic and foreign SMEs. I also assisted hundreds of China SMEs to avoid IP risks when doing business in Middle East and Latin American countries.  

My work has been as varied as enforcing judgements of millions US$ compensation, seizing factories and apartments in China to collect on a debt, securing the release of improperly frozen steel plants, overseeing HK arbitration and investigating defendant assets, advising clients AIGC company to avoid copyright infringements, etc. I was named as the Expert in One Belt One Road IP Protection and Expert of Brand Protection for China SMEs.

I am experienced in counseling on complex issues outside the traditional boundaries of intellectual property, including cutting-edge technologies, the IP implications of engaging influencers, and protecting and leveraging IP assets through innovative marketing, advertising and media platforms.
